“I believe that people are the experts
of their own lives and that therapy
can support them in their
unique journey.”

— Philippa Devas

“The purpose of psychotherapy is to set people free.”

~ Rollo May

How therapy works.

I offer a confidential space where you will feel safe to voice your thoughts and concerns.

In private practice, I welcome anyone who feels that psychotherapy may be of help, whether you are looking to have just a few sessions to think about a specific issue or situation or would like to consider longer-term therapy.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy can help reveal the conscious and unconscious processes at play which shape your life and relationships. We will explore how certain choices, past and present, may have shaped your journey to date and where past experiences may have kept you tethered. It provides an opportunity to help make sense of current experiences, face some complicated feelings and thoughts, feel less overwhelmed by any worries and fears, and make choices and decisions. You may need a few sessions to think about what is going on with you or a longer time to be in therapy in order to explore present and past experiences.

Initial Consultation.

The initial session allows you to talk about your concerns, your situation and gives you the opportunity to disclose any relevant family history and any expectations you may have of the therapeutic process; I will also explain how I work.

Moving Forward.

If you would like to take things forward, we will discuss how best to proceed. The sessions are 50 minutes long and are held each week at a regular time; this time would become your slot at the same time every week.

Online & In-Person.

Currently I can offer both in person and online sessions.

Fees:

Regular Sessions: 50 mins | £85

Should you need to cancel your session for any reason, please give me at least 48 hours notice; if it is not possible to rearrange your session,  the fee is chargeable.
